Cheltenham 2012

October 5, 2012

The annual Cheltenham Literature Festival kicks off today at noon for ten days of book loving heaven.

The line up this year is better than ever with the opening weekend attracting literary heavyweights such as Terry Pratchett, Salman Rushdie, Sebastian Faulks, Iain Banks and the legendary JK Rowling in conversation about her new novel for adults, The Casual Vacancy.

The festival will be taking over the whole of Cheltenham between 5th and 14th of October and it promises to be one of the most exciting to date – they even have James Bond!

Sky Arts will be present for the whole of the proceedings, filming for Mariella’s Book Show live from the centre of the action.

It promises to be a jam packed 10 days with something for everyone, whether you crave a political debate, want to take the kids along to meet their favourite authors or even to learn something new in one of the lecturers and seminars, this really is a year not to be missed.
